Product and Application Engineer: General
Job Responsibilities
- Work with customers to assist them with their applications of our software.
- Use customer feedback and interaction to design and test new product features.
- Carry out customer training.
- Carry out consulting projects.
- Assure quality control of the product.
Areas of Focus
- Fluid dynamics of engines and engine performance (breathing, acoustics, aftertreatment).
- Multi-body dynamics of crankshafts and valvetrains.
- Thermal management systems (engine cooling).
- Hydraulic systems (fuel injection systems, lubrication systems, general hydraulics).
Engineers in this position regularly interact with engineers from the most technologically advanced companies in the world, including BMW, Mercedes, GM, Ford and Toyota, and assist them in modeling future advanced engine and powertrain concepts.
This is not a software programming position.

Required Qualifications
- MS degree with minimum GPA of 3.5 or BS degree with minimum GPA of 3.6.
- New college graduates or experienced engineers are welcome.
- Ability to travel up to four weeks annually (including Europe and Asia).
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with engine/vehicle simulation software such as GT-POWER, Wave, Boost, KIVA, and AMESim or other CAE tools and simulation.
- Experience with internal combustion engines, including design, measurement and instrumentation, controls, SAE projects (FormulaSAE, BajaSAE, Future Car, etc.), or automotive rebuilding.
